Heart of Lumi

RETREATS
Retreats offer extended time away from ordinary rhythms, allowing deeper listening, renewal, and reorientation. These experiences are shaped by land, silence, ritual, and shared presence — inviting participants to step into a more intimate relationship with themselves, nature, and what is sacred.
Mexico: Swim with Whales and Dolphins
Sea of Cortez:
An Ocean Journey of the Heart
April 10th-18th 2027
There are places that change how you see the world. The Sea of Cortez is one of them.

In April of 2027, we invite you to journey with us to La Ventana, Mexico, where the desert meets the sea in one of the most biologically rich marine ecosystems on Earth. Jacques Cousteau famously called the Sea of Cortez "The Aquarium of the World," a place where encounters with wild dolphins, whales, sea lions, and countless other marine beings are woven into the rhythm of each day.

Yet this is more than a wildlife expedition.

It is an invitation to step beyond the familiar and into a living ocean that is vast, untamed, and astonishingly alive. Here adventure and reverence meet. Every day invites us to stay open-to the sea, to the unexpected, and perhaps to parts of ourselves that have been asking us to awaken.

On any given day we may encounter blue whales, humpback whales, sperm whales, playful pods of dolphins, mobula rays erupting from the sea, or perhaps the elusive orca. No two days are ever the same, and no encounter can be predicted.
We do not demand experiences.
Rather we enter the sea as respectful guests, trusting that whatever unfolds is offered as an expression of wild grace.
Each morning before entering the water we will gather as our own small human pod - settling our nervous systems, opening our hearts and arriving together in a state of quiet presence.
Our host organization holds all of the necessary permits that allow us to swim in the seas of Mexico with many of these sentient beings.

Come join us for an Ocean Journey of the Heart-where adventure wonder and reverence meet!

Overnight Nature Immersion
This overnight Nature Immersion is offered as a one- or two-night retreat, held in a quiet cove on private land bordered by the Nantahala National Forest in Scaly Mountain, North Carolina.

With no Wi-Fi or cell service on the land, the immersion offers a rare opportunity to step fully out of ordinary rhythms and into direct relationship with nature. The absence of digital interference allows attention to settle, perception to widen, and deeper layers of awareness to come forward.

The land is undeveloped and intentionally kept simple. There is no electricity, plumbing, or conventional indoor facilities. Participants are invited to meet the landscape as it is — raw, alive, and deeply intact — supported by careful preparation and clear guidance.

The property includes access to pure spring water, waterfalls, forest trails, and a wood-fired sauna, which may be used as part of restorative or ritual practice during the immersion.
At times, tea is shared on the land as a simple, grounding practice. Drinking tea outdoors in this way recalls an older rhythm of listening, where presence deepens through simplicity and attention.

This land has been lovingly stewarded over many years and holds a strong, quiet presence that supports deep listening, nervous system settling, and foundational shifts in perspective. Time here is not about doing more, but about allowing what is essential to surface and integrate.

These immersions are offered to female-bodied participants only, in alignment with the nature of the work and the container being held.

If you feel drawn to this form of retreat, you’re welcome to inquire further to explore whether it is a good fit.

• you are drawn to extended time in nature and silence
• you feel called to step away from technology and daily demands
• you are comfortable with simplicity and undeveloped land
• you value presence, listening, and inner inquiry over structured programming
• you are seeking integration, clarity, or reorientation rather than escape

This immersion may not be the right fit if you are looking for comfort-based accommodations or a highly scheduled retreat experience.
